Choreographer LaVelle Smith hat als Vorgeschmack auf sein Seminar „Dancing with the King“ Videos von den Proben des abgesagten HBO TV-Konzertes „One Night Only“ veröffentlicht. Hier dieses interessante Video, der damalige Werbespot und Newsmeldungen, nachdem Michael einen Schwächeanfall erlitten hatte.
Der intime Live-Gig „Michael Jackson, One Night Only“ im Beacon Theatersaal in New York hätte rund um die Welt im Fernsehen gezeigt werden sollen. Doch am 6. Dezember 1995 brach Michael Jackson während den Proben zusammen und wurde notfallmässig ins Spital eingeliefert. Da die Crew hoffte, Michael erhole sich in einigen Tagen, wurden die Proben vorerst fortgesetzt. Davon hat LaVelle Smith jetzt auf Facebook Aufnahmen von den Proben zu „Thriller“, „Bad“ und „Dangerous“ veröffentlicht, auf den neue Choreographien zu sehen sind! Folgendes schrieb der langjährige Tanzpartner vom King of Pop dazu:

This rehearsals happened two days after Michael Jackson collapsed at The Beacon Theatre. The production though he still could do the show, but, definitely not. He didn’t have conditions. He was suffering from low blood pressure and dehydration.
Some people watched full of this footage and didn’t like it (Thriller (song)/Bad (Michael Jackson song)). I’m bringing here some glimpses from these performances and also „Dangerous“, which Michael decided to conserve as the Video Music Awards version.
